HISTORY OF

MY BUSINESS

Long before I started this freelancing business, I was selling my art. I grew up in a screen-print shop owned by my dad and from there I learned graphic design at a young age. Middle school is when I actually began selling my designs. My first successful shirt had my principal’s face on the front and a quote of his on the back. The quote was “This is BA not BK, you can’t have it your way.” I kept the box of t-shirts in my assistant principal’s office and sold them all. In high-school, I sold soccer team tank tops to the fans, spirit week shirts, and a Juicy J parody shirt that said “We Trippy Mann” on it (I went to JL Mann High School). In college, I sold beer themed t-shirts and used the money I made from it to pay for my beer. It was also in college when I started a lifestyle apparel brand with my dad, called WhatTheFin. After 8 years of working there, doing everything imaginable under the sun, in August of 2022, I left the company in order to follow God deeper into a call to youth ministry.

December of 2022 came around and I hadn’t yet been put in a paid position for youth ministry. With bills still to pay, in January of 2023, I opened this freelance business to offer my art to the world.

When it comes to my experience in the creative fields I’m offering, here’s the quick run down. I’ve been graphic designing since 2007. I’ve been photographing and filming since 2015. And I’ve been painting since the spring of 2024.

Today you can hire me for photos, videos, graphics, or paintings. You can also purchase some of my art online from my Etsy Shop.

Feel free to visit my YouTube channel where I talk a lot about my journey as a freelance artist and different aspects of my life and faith.

ABOUT ME

KEATON HINZE

In addition to art, I enjoy fishing, paddle boarding, being outdoors, playing sports and video games, watching tv, and reading.

In the past few years, fly fishing is how I’ve spent most of my time on the water. Artistically, tying flies has also been really fun to get into. When it comes to fish, largemouth bass are my favorite (I have a bass tattoo on my left arm) because learning how to catch them made me fall head over heels with fishing as a whole. I love the process, the challenge of convincing fish to bite, the anticipation of the bite, the fight, the opportunity to hold them and observe them up close, and of course, simply spending time in God’s creation.

For sports, soccer is my first love. I spent the first 20 years of my life dedicated to it and went on to play in college at the division one level. Now, in my late twenties, basketball is what I play the most. Volleyball is also an honorable mention sport for me. I grew up playing it on the beach and now I get to play it often with the youth group at my church.

When it comes to video games, I’ve always been a Call of Duty guy and I think I always will be. Some other notable favorites are, Super Smash Bro’s, Assassin’s Creed, NBA 2K, and Pokemon.

If I had to pick a favorite movie series, it would be The Lord Of The Rings/The Hobbit. Second would be The Pirates Of The Caribbean. In my college years my favorite TV show was no doubt, Family Guy. Now it would probably be The Last Kingdom, Rings Of Power, and The Chosen. An honorable mention series would be the adventure films on YouTube put out by Wild Fly Productions.

For reading, my #1 book is the #1 book in the world, The Bible. Other than that, I mostly read self-help books about topics I think will help me live a better, healthier life. Some of those topics being Christian faith, mental health, physical health, art, business, nature, wildlife, and gardening.

MORE ABOUT ME

AND mY FAM

There are two things in particular I want you to know.

The first thing being that I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe with all my heart He is the Son of God, that He died on the cross to forgive us of our sins, and that He rose from the grave and is today in heaven, interceding on our behalf, and will return. It was in May of 2017 that I first repented of my sins, surrendered my life to Jesus, and became a child of God. My whole life has changed for the better since I came into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He is my Lord, my Savior, and my closest friend.

The other thing I want you to know is I'm married to a wonderful, beautiful, incredible woman named Cameron, who has loved me and supported me in ways I didn't know another human could. She's the love of my life. She is highly respected, renowned and expert level wedding & portrait photographer. She has really helped me hone my skills as a photographer and grow as a freelance entrepreneur. Often I’m blessed to tag along and second shoot weddings with her. We live with our two cats and three dogs in the upstate of South Carolina.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking time to read about me. If there is anyway I can help you, reach out. I would love the opportunity to use serve you with the creative gifts the Lord has blessed me.

Sincerely,

Keaton Hinze
